Private beta terms
Terms dated 10 September 2026.
These terms apply to people admitted to the private WELTEN beta. Requesting a place does not itself grant access or confirm admission.
Your free beta access
As an admitted private-beta participant, you can use all available beta features for free, without a one-session limit. No payment details or purchase are required, and joining the beta does not start a subscription.
Free access continues throughout the beta and for 30 calendar days after the official sales launch of WELTEN 1.0. The sales launch means the paid version is actually available to buy and download, not merely announced. We will email you the exact end date at least 30 days in advance. If we notify you later, your free-access end date moves back accordingly.
After free access ends
You decide whether to purchase WELTEN or explicitly subscribe. There is no automatic charge, subscription or start of the separate seven-day subscription trial. Without a purchase or an explicitly chosen subscription, you cannot start new focus sessions after free access ends. A session already started may finish.
The end of free access does not delete your forest, projects or history. Your existing world and entries remain viewable.
Your beta-tester discount
Everyone explicitly admitted to the private beta before the sales launch receives 30% off the one-time purchase price set at launch. A waiting-list request alone does not qualify.
Your personal code can be redeemed once per person within 60 days after the sales launch. It does not apply to subscriptions and cannot be combined with other discount codes. We will publish the final price and licence scope at launch. The discounted purchase has the same scope as the regular one-time purchase; it does not automatically include every future world, major version or service.
Feedback and beta limitations
Feedback is welcome and voluntary. Your discount does not depend on a positive review or a public post.
WELTEN is still in development. Bugs and resulting data loss cannot be ruled out. Please back up your Mac regularly. Preserving progress when access ends is not a guarantee that a beta can never lose data.
If we discontinue the beta without releasing WELTEN 1.0 for sale, we will email you at least 30 days before free access ends.
