      Connect your Reminders lists and pick a task when you start. It stays linked to the session, and you can mark it complete right from the timer.

    2. Mac Focus automation

      Do Not Disturb, on cue.

      When a session starts, WELTEN switches your Mac into Do Not Disturb or any Focus you choose, and turns it off again when you pause, take a break or finish.

    3. Wurzel companion

      Company, if you want it.

      An optional companion on your desktop. Wurzel shows the time left, lets you pause, cheers when a tree is planted and opens Quick Focus with one click. Drag it wherever you like.

Does WELTEN change my Mac wallpaper?

No. Your wallpaper stays exactly as you set it. WELTEN draws in its own layer below your desktop icons.

Can I create my own timers?

Yes. Choose 1 to 180 minutes, or save named routines with focus time, break length and number of rounds.

Can I use WELTEN as a Pomodoro timer?

Yes. Set your focus time, short and long breaks, and how many rounds come before a long break. Breaks and the next session can start on their own.

Can I use sound while I focus?

Choose Forest, white, pink or brown noise, or your own music from Spotify or YouTube. Add a gentle chime every 5, 10 or 15 minutes, or keep your sessions silent.

Will it slow down my Mac?

When nothing is growing, the forest redraws about once a second. A lower-performance mode and Reduce Motion support keep it lighter still.

Does it work with more than one display?

Yes. Show your forest on your main display or on all displays.

What does it need to run?

An Apple Silicon Mac with macOS 14 or later. Intel Macs are not supported.

What does it cost?

Is WELTEN on the Mac App Store?

Yes. The Mac App Store edition also starts with 10 free focus sessions and unlocks with one in-app purchase, with payment and updates through Apple. Each edition keeps its own purchase and forest: a purchase from this website does not unlock the App Store edition, and the reverse.
