Sales and licence terms — WELTEN Version: 2026-09-14 WELTEN is currently in a free private beta. Paid purchases and monthly subscriptions are not yet available. The commercial terms below describe the offer for the sales launch; they do not start a subscription or change admitted testers’ free access. Provider and software Anastasia Miller, trading as WELTEN, is a German sole trader at Rümpeler Weg 29, 23843 Bad Oldesloe, Germany. Contact: hello@welten.app. WELTEN V1 is downloadable English-language software for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later. Both paid plans include the full V1 feature set and the Waldlichtung world. Focus sessions, projects and your forest are stored locally; a licence does not provide accounts or world synchronisation. Payments use Stripe Managed Payments, identified at Checkout as “Sold through Link”. The Link terms presented there also apply to its services. WELTEN remains responsible for the software, licence fulfilment and product support. The selected plan, total price and billing dates are shown before you submit an order. Order acceptance and access confirmation are provided electronically. First free session Your first fully completed focus session is free and includes a permanently planted tree. Installation and the free session do not start a subscription or require payment details. Further focus sessions require paid access, an explicitly activated trial or applicable private-beta access. One-time purchase — €24.99 The price is €24.99 once, including applicable tax. It includes WELTEN V1, Waldlichtung and all published 1.x updates. Later major versions, additional worlds and separate services are not automatically included. After online activation, the one-time licence remains usable offline without an expiry. A network or licensing-server outage does not expire it. Initial activation, restoration and device management require internet access. This update scope does not restrict mandatory rights to necessary updates, including security updates, or remedies for defects. It does not promise compatibility with every future macOS version or hardware configuration. Monthly — 7 days free, then €3.99/month The monthly plan includes seven days free, then costs €3.99 per month, including applicable tax. It renews monthly until cancelled. A payment method is required. The trial starts only after you explicitly complete subscription Checkout; your confirmation shows the trial end and first charge date. You can cancel at any time before renewal, with effect at the end of the current trial or paid period and no additional notice period. Cancel during the trial to avoid the first charge. Access continues through the valid period. Mandatory rights to end the contract earlier remain unaffected. Use Link order management or contact hello@welten.app to cancel. Uninstalling the app or deactivating a Mac does not cancel a subscription. Ordinary cancellation does not itself refund a current period; withdrawal and other refund rights remain available. A routine renewal starts neither a new trial nor a new contractual withdrawal period. Offline subscription access is limited to the valid trial or paid period. An unsuccessful renewal does not extend that period until payment is resolved. WELTEN adds no late fee. Sessions already running may finish and local progress remains viewable. Two personal installations The licence is personal and non-exclusive. Both plans allow two active personal installations. Each macOS user profile counts separately. You can replace installations at any time without a waiting period, including a lost Mac. If both places are used, explicitly select the installation to replace. You may choose an installation name; otherwise a neutral label and short identifier are used. Your Mac’s computer name is not uploaded automatically. An installation you deactivate loses permission to start new sessions at its next successful licence check. A session already running may finish with its reward. Device replacement does not transfer ownership to another person or transfer your forest. The licence does not permit distributing the app or sharing access with others. Rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected. Recovery and your progress Keep your recovery code safely. It proves ownership for licence restoration and installation management, including on an inactive Mac. There is no WELTEN login or automated email-only licence recovery. Any Link billing account is separate. Restoring a licence does not transfer your local forest, projects or history. When paid access ends, those records remain viewable, new focus sessions require valid access, and running sessions may finish with their rewards. Back up your Mac to protect local data against loss or damage. Switching to one-time ownership In WELTEN’s switch-to-one-time flow, a successfully verified one-time purchase stops further renewal of linked WELTEN monthly subscriptions. WELTEN confirms that renewal has stopped only after cancellation has been processed. A linked renewal collected at or after the successful one-time purchase because of a processing overlap is refunded in full. An earlier subscription period is not automatically credited against the one-time price. Refunding the one-time purchase never restarts a cancelled subscription. Withdrawal and refunds You may withdraw within the applicable 14-day period. We do not ask you to waive withdrawal because you download or activate the app immediately. The free session and seven-day trial do not replace your withdrawal rights. See the separate withdrawal notice for the deadline, optional form and refund procedure. Mandatory rights and Link’s applicable protections remain intact. Beyond those and the duplicate-charge rule above, WELTEN offers no additional general money-back guarantee. Individual goodwill refunds remain possible. Statutory rules govern defects, necessary updates and liability. Completed withdrawal or a full refund reversing a purchase ends its corresponding paid entitlement. A partial refund does not by itself remove the whole licence. Payment disputes are reviewed rather than automatically treated as a final loss of ownership. Local progress is retained and sessions already running may finish. Private-beta participants Admitted private-beta participants retain the free transition period promised in the private-beta terms. There is no automatic charge or subscription trial. Their personal 30% discount gives a one-time launch price of €17.49 instead of €24.99. It can be used once per person within 60 days of the actual sales launch, cannot be combined with other discount codes, and does not apply to subscriptions.
